D.C. Metro Region Overseas Brats Gathering

For those who haven't a clue about this event, we are planning an event for military Brats or overseas Brats and our educators to happen in the DC area this Fall! Things are progressing!

At this reporting, 532 Brats & educators have said they are interested. That's a fantastic number! Ever since 1987, OVERSEAS BRATS has been hosting regional get-togethers of people like us, and we've had anywhere between 20 to 35 participants from as many schools & time periods show up. In recent years, the event has been held off the beltway at a restaurant in Northern Virginia. Why? To keep the event economical and accessible for as many people as possible.

This year's event will be a Saturday luncheon, on November 2, 2002. At any rate, my goal is to have specifics in place and announce this by the end of the month or the first part of September. Since I need to drive down after the event to prepare for a similar function in the Hampton, Virginia, area the following day (Nov. 3), this location has been a convenient one for me as well.
